Our coffee selection comes from the Daye Bensa farm owned by the Dukamo family and from the Shantawene washing station, where the lots are cultivated at altitudes ranging from 2,100 to 2,210 meters above sea level, under the shade of ancient trees. This unique environment and natural processing give the coffee a rare and refined aromatic complexity. Each lot is identified with the name of a star, creating a universe of coffees that represent the diversity and quality of the production.<\/p>\n
The story of this coffee-growing family began with two brothers from the Bensa-Sidama area. They helped their parents and neighbors in coffee cultivation and were determined to showcase the potential of their region\u2019s coffees. Today, more than 15 years later, they have developed a family-owned company that plays a key role in the production, harvesting, and export of Sidama coffee. The Dukamo family currently manages 3 farms, 42 washing stations, 6 dry mills, and works with more than 2,500 farmers who follow good agricultural practices to ensure sustainability and traceability. The Daye Bensa farm and the Shantawene washing station are the sources of our coffee lots. The farm and mill are located amid natural forests and native trees over 200 years old. The coffees grow in the natural shade of the farm\u2019s trees at altitudes between 2,100 and 2,210 meters above sea level. Farm work is carried out mainly by local residents and supervised by members of the Dukamo family, who have inherited their parents\u2019 passion for coffee cultivation and have been trained to join the family business.<\/p>\n
